Air Fryer Chicken Roast: Marie’s Rotisserie Chicken

  • 1 small whole chicken (approx. 1.4 kg)
  • olive oil as needed
  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp kosher salt

Products Used


  1. Massage the chicken with olive oil (or use a pastry brush) then, rub with the spices on all sides as well as inside. Marie’s Tip: don’t miss the wings & under them when rubbing in the spice rub.

  2. Tie the chicken legs and wings tightly with a cooking string. Secure the chicken on the rotisserie.

  3. Place the rotisserie in the air fryer and put a drip tray underneath. Cook for 45 minutes at 200°C. The chicken is cooked when the temperature in the thickest part reaches 74°C.

  4. Rest the chicken for 15 -20 minutes to allow for the juices to redistribute. Serve with hot chips and a fresh garden salad.
